Susumu is opening his perfomance with Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No.28 in A major, followed Debussy’s ‘Estampes’ where he takes us on a musical journey through three impressionistic landscapes and cultures.

In the second part of the program the pianist takes us through Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, the composers famous piano suite in 10 movements. Inspired by a collection of artworks this composition is a musical tour de force, each movement being a vivid musical representation of a picture.

This is the only concert in Susumu’s short Australia visit. And we are honoured to welcome him for his performance at The Music Estuary, Ballina
