Interstate visitors are being encouraged to come take a break in NSW as an extension of the NSW’s Government’s ‘Love NSW’ tourism recovery campaign.
‘The Great Escape’ campaign is targeting those travellers eager to venture beyond State borders after the restrictions of the past few months.
Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said the new marketing campaign and TV commercial are part of the NSW Government’s COVID recovery plan.
“With just one border restriction, which is soon to be lifted, our State is wide open and ready for visitors to enjoy in a COVID-Safe way,” Mr Ayres said.
“Now that restrictions are being eased, we’re all hungry for freedom, to escape what’s been a challenging year.
“Come on over – there’s so much to see and do in NSW,” Mr Ayres said.
‘The Great Escape’ campaign is currently running in South Australia, with advertising to commence in Queensland on 8 November, and Melbourne and greater Victoria to follow when border restrictions are eased after November 23.
The television, print and digital ads will be customised for each State, promoting regional towns and experiences within close proximity to State borders or an easy road trip from Sydney for visitors arriving by air.
“While we all need to be COVID-safe when travelling, there are so many fantastic experiences in every corner of NSW just waiting for visitors to enjoy,” Mr Ayres said.
