Tourism businesses, councils and local tourism organisations can now apply for funding to undertake marketing activities that promote visitor experiences, attractions, tours and accommodation.
Destination NSW’s $1 million Tourism Industry Marketing Support package – grants program opened this week, with grants of $10,000 to $50,000 available to stakeholders engaged in the visitor economy across Sydney and NSW. Grants will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
The funds can be used for a variety of different marketing tactics including advertising (digital display, paid social, paid search) and promotional offers, competitions, discounts to drive demand.
“The Tourism Industry Marketing Support package offers dollar-for-dollar support to communities that are ready to drive demand that translates to bookings and confidence, for businesses,” Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said.
Applicants must identify one key experience theme with their submission:
• Nature and outdoors
• Food and drink
• Arts and culture
• History and heritage
• Stay / accommodation.
Applications close on Thursday 13 May 2021 and campaign activity will commence from mid-July.
