It's a music kind of weekend! The Byron Music Society presents Johannes Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre on Sunday afternoon. Don't miss out on listening to the choir and orchestra, tickets available here

Alternatively, get your dancing shoes on and head down to the Shawsy on Sunday arvo, the always popular Lisa Hunt is entertaining the crowds with her soul voice from 2pm.  

Plateau Sports in Alstonville are hosting Oktoberfest on the Green. They will be serving up German beers and snacks and there will be a great band to entertain you all afternoon. This is a family friendly afternoon so for more information contact the club on 6628 0497. 

Common People Brewing Co have also been brewing their very own Oktoberfest German Lager just for the weekend. Their friends at The Brewer's Kitchen are also bringing some German deliciousness including pretzel bites, mustard and speck, or traditional kransky and kraut. Sunday from 12 noon.

The Nimbin Roots Festival will be on both Saturday & Sunday this weekend. A celebration of Roots music, Old Blues, Folk, Old Timey, Folk Rock and Traditional music set in venues around the colourful town of Nimbin. There will be music and workshops, a street parade and the Australian Roots Music Awards presentation.
