It has been a wet and windy couple of days but things are looking up on the weather front this weekend and there's plenty happening around the Ballina Coast and Hinterland to keep you busy!

Start your weekend off at Rous Unplugged. A beautiful evening of music, poetry, song and dance held on the last Friday of every month at Rous Mill Hall. 

Tonight is also the first day of Lennox Head's Nor'Easter Weekend of Music. A Weekend of great music showcasing local and national artists who will be performing at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre,  Lennox Head School Hall & various other locations around town. 

If you feel like strapping on your running shoes, then don't miss the Healthy Minds Club 2023 Triathlon this Saturday at Lake Ainsworth.  All proceeds going towards youth mental health in 2023! 

It has been one year since the floods hit our communities hard and this Saturday  Wardell CORE is hosting a free community event, 'Wardell District- One Year On' to reflect on the monumental emergency rescue effort and the ongoing recovery. There will be live entertainment, kids' activities, face painting, bubbles, craft, paper planes, a lantern making workshop, BBQ, pizza, soft drink, stalls and more. 

Kin Local Eatery Ballina are holding their first 'Kin Dinners' this Saturday night.  A delicious 5 course set menu by local award winning chef Robert McWhinnie utilising fresh, local, native ingredients of the Northern Rivers...Yum! 

Weekends are for markets and once again, there's a few to choose from around the Northern Rivers this weekend. 

The Kyogle Bazaar Market is on from 9 until 2pm on Saturday. A fun country market offering lots handmade treasures. 

The Byron Twilight market is also on this Saturday from 4 until 9pm. 

On Sunday don't miss the Ballina Farmers Market down by the river in Missingham Park. Enjoy some yummy breakfast treats while you pick up your fresh local produce for the week. 

The Bangalow markets are also on this Sunday. One of the largest markets in the region, full of music, delicious food and handmade gifts and wares. 

Finish off your weekend at the Shaws Bay Hotel this Sunday evening from 3 until 8pm and get your groove on to the voice of the legendary Lisa Hunt.
