This weekend is a busy one with lots of popular annual events and some great community activities.

For the foodie lovers the Northern Rivers Harvest Food Trail has plenty of events and tours to get involved in. Our local producers and venues such as Zentvelds, Duck Creek Macadamias, Avilla Farms, Marquis Macadamias, Harvest and Sugar Beach Ranch are just some of the operators so make sure to check out the program and plan your weekend. 

The annual BACCI Art & Craft Show is on Saturday & Sunday from 9-3pm at the Masonic Hall in Ballina - a great opportunity to meet some wonderful and talented local artists. 

And a great one for the family is Our Kids Day Out at Missingham Bridge Ampitheatre in Ballina on Sunday. Lots of free kids entertainment (including Peppa Pig!), displays, face painting, sausage sizzles and more.

Nimbin Mardi Grass is on and bringing a full program of events to the rainbow region of Nimbin and the annual Byron Ocean Swim Classic is always a popular one for all ages.

Enjoy an evening of manic big wave heroism and lunacy with Ross Clarke-Jones – an Australian big wave surfer who will entertain you at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre then on Saturday afternoon the Ballina Shire Concert Band is turning 140 years old and to celebrate the milestone, they will be hosting a 140th Year Anniversary Concert.
