A sunny weekend ahead with plenty happening in the area. The big event for the weekend is Sample Food Festival at Bangalow Showground showcasing incredible produce, unique culinary experiences and regional brewers and distilleries. An annual event that is always a great day out for all.

But if you want to start the weekend entertainment early there is lots happening Thursday evening. Feeling like a laugh, the Free Live Comedy Gig is on with special guest MC Akmal presenting a fun night of laughs or head down to the Australian Hotel with live music, different local band, every Thursday. Alternatively, Ballina Players latest production Avenue Q have shows on Thursday through to Sunday.   

If you like listening to some old classics The Neil Diamond Tribute Showis on Saturday at the Ballina RSL. The Ballina Christian Education Committee Spring Street Stall in River Street near Wigmore Arcade in Ballina will be set up from 7am-1pm with a range of items to buy including home made cooking, produce, craft, plants, jams, cards and bric-a-brac. 

There are plenty of venues hosting specials for Fathers Day so no excuse not to spoil Dad! 

Stock up on your fresh, local goodies and enjoy breakfast at theBallina Farmers Marketon Sunday morning at Commemoration Park.
