It's so positive to see new operators opening their doors in our region, a big welcome from the Ballina Tourism Team! Find out more about who has opened new businesses in the heart of Ballina and make sure you pop in to update yourself and share with your own visitors.
Some of you may recognise the location as the old Ballina Ice Creamery and then Main Street Cafe but it is now the home of Kin - and what a transformation! Great menu, outdoor dining, kiddies corner and modern! The soft pink hues put you at ease the minute you walk in the door. Dine in or get takeaway and sit down on the river front which can be seen from the alfresco area.
Bikes have been in high demand throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and to be able to service sales, repairs and bike hire, the team from over at The Bicycle Emporium has opened a designated hire shop in Riverwalk Arcade. Visitors and locals can hire mountain bikes, cruisers, kids bikes and cycling bikes then head straight to the riverfront and start exploring our coastal pathways.
Located along Cherry Street, grab your daily coffee and some bakery goodies to go with it. Almond or chocolate croissant? Sourdough bread? The only problem is deciding what to eat! Conveniently located in the CBD to grab something on the run.
You may recognise Andrew, the friendly owner from another popular hospitality business in East Ballina - For Shaw. The staff at this new business obviously love where they work - demonstrated by the welcoming and hospitable staff. The location is well known (previously The Point), underneath the Ramada but things have changed. New management, new menu and new ideas! This is one to watch coming into the warmer months as the location is ideal for those afternoon sunsets and happy hours.
