Dan Higgins Music

Dan Higgins is a singer/songwriter from Nowendoc NSW now residing in the Northern Rivers. His music is genuine and authentic, with unique lyrical twists, that will capture the hearts of many country fans around the world. His voice and songs have shades of 'Paul Kelly' in them and they carry an encouragement, a knowing that life has its ups and downs but you're never truly alone because we're all in this together.

Growing up on the picturesque northern tablelands of NSW on the family farm, set the scene for Dan Higgins' passion for music. Playing with his multi-talented brothers, music has always been a Higgins family tradition, spurring Dan to embark on his current songwriting and artistic journey.

The second single, Ain't Gonna Bottle It Up from his yet to be released debut album, Make Love Enough made its way to number six on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Country Airplay Chart and has charted for a stunning 5 months still continuing to gain national airplay. 

Produced by multi award winning producer Matt Fell, and recorded at Love HZ Studio Sydney and locally at Rocking Horse Studios, Dan's debut album is set to be released this year with a following tour planned.  

In early 2021 Dan teamed up with local Line Dancing extraordinaire Tayla Kennedy and Kimbery Vidler from Lennox Beach Line Dancing group to shoot a performance video for the dance choreographed to Dan's single "Ain't Gonna Bottle It Up". The video features dancers from the club as well as Dan's band and it is directed and produced by Susie Forster at Byron Bay Multimedia.  

Dan is the recipient of many finalist nominations for his songwriting including the ASA (Australian Songwriters Association) Awards Top 30 in the 2018, 2019, 2020 and APRA AMCOS/TSA Finalist for New Songwriter Award in 2018.
