Ballina Shire Council is happy to announce Airport Boulevard is now open! This new connection road links Boeing Avenue and North Creek Road to the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, and is an impressive entrance to the airport.

Airport Boulevard will also unlock future industrial land in the Southern Cross Industrial Estate.

The project included construction of three new roundabouts on North Creek Road, Boeing Avenue and Southern Cross Drive. The link road also features a range of landscaping including an impressive row of Cabbage Tree Palms.
The estimated total cost of this project is $12 million. This was made possible thanks to $3 million in Australian Government funding under the Community Development Grants Program, along with Council's $9 million contribution.
