Bangalow is a nineteenth-century historic village located in the Byron Bay Hinterland. Bangalow's historic buildings have been restored to their former styles with their large verandah's shading the footpaths of the main street.

The village is known for its large variety of gourmet dining options, with several restaurants and cafes all using locally sourced products. If you love coffee there are several great cafes that offer exceptional coffee. Amongst the cafes and restaurants you will find beautiful boutique stores with a range of fashion, jewellery, antiques, homewares and local products.

Make sure to step into the local galleries and antique stores where you may be lucky to find a remarkable piece by one our regions finest creative artisans.

Bangalow hosts one of the largest community markets in the Northern Rivers in the centre of the village at the Bangalow Showgrounds on the fourth Sunday of every month from 9am-3pm. The markets are filled with local stallholders showcasing the regions finest local produce, clothing, skin care products and arts and crafts. Parking is available next to the showgrounds for a fee of $2.

Alongside the village there is a beautiful shaded park by the river, a great location to set up and have a picnic when visiting Bangalow for the day.

Bangalow is a must when visiting the Northern Rivers.
