Featured artists for the month of August are – Friends of the Koalas and Robyn McGuiness

The First exhibitor is a fund raiser for FOK (Friends of the Koala) – helping promote and raise awareness for our beloved Koalas. The Joey Koala Photographic Exhibition brings you adorable photos of injured and orphaned joeys rescued by Friends of the Koala, photos by Brad Mustow.

The second is our own Robyn McGuiness and in her own words … “I am Robin McGuiness from Ballina. I have been painting mainly in acrylics for over 30 years. In that time, I have done commissions and sold lots of my artwork online, also donating for various fundraisers. Mainly I love to paint Australian native flowers and birds, often combining same in a piece. I am inspired by the beauty of nature, particularly flowers but also love seashells and am fascinated by the beautiful gifts of the sea. Lately I have been creating pieces of artwork with these beautiful seashells from my collection throughout the years. I have been creating pieces with costume and vintage jewellery that I mainly find in op shops, also finding nice little frames that I use in this process. I have been enjoying a different creative process, basically loving to create whether it is painting or designing with seashells and jewellery.”
