FARM KIDS WORKSHOPS

Take the kids on an educational and fun tour of The Farm in Byron Bay!

This is an educational tour of the cows, pigs, bees, chickens, flower crops, herb garden, orchard and veggie crops.

They discuss concepts like paddock rotation for the animals, pollination, organic farming, healthy soil and composting and other ethical farming practices.

There are multiple fun workshops for children to take part in, including:

The Sun - Thursday 10 April 9:30am - 12:30pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm, discussing the relationship between plants and the sun, as well as making sun prints and a sun flower pot.

Bees - Friday 11 April 9am - 3pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm, finding out all about bees and their roles, deep diving into the hive, as well as making a homemade candle and yummy lemon and honey bliss balls.

Nature Craft - Wednesday 16 April 9:30am - 12:30pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm, a talk about seed pods and plant materials, as well as foraging for items to do some nature printing and craft a wall hanging.

Citrus - Thursday 17 April 9am - 3pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm, learning about the variety of citrus fruits, their properties, as well as mixing up some lemonade and creating dried citrus craft.

Herbs - Wednesday 23 April 9:30am - 12:30pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm, identifying, collecting and discussing herbs and their different purposes, as well as crafting a herb wand and making fresh pesto.

Flowers - Thursday 24 April 9am - 3pm

This workshop includes a tour of the farm,examining different parts and learning how to identify types of flowers, as well as making flower lollypops and creating a flower press.

Cost is from $75 to $130 per person for each session.
