The plateaus favourite plant sale is back!Alstonville Plaza will turn green on Sat 21 September 2024 from 8am when the very popular Alstonville Wollongbar Rural Fire Brigade fundraising Plant Sale returns.

The plants that are being sold have been donated to the brigade by local nurseries, who they have been working with for many years for the fundraiser. The fundraiser is to raise funds for brigade equipment and expenses for the following year, as well as to make sure members of the community know what to do in the event of a bushfire in our region, and how to prepare themselves and their homes for our upcoming fire season.

Whilst you’re there, join them for display and resources for NSW RFS annual GET READY WEEKEND. It’s your chance to chat with members on how to Live Bush Fire Ready, to protect your property and our wonderful community.

It’s the perfect time to chat to the Captains and members to find out more about this rewarding work and becoming a volunteer yourself.  No experience necessary and new members welcomed.
